Warmer weather means I have to shave my legs now.

Okay, I don't have to shave my legs, but life is better when my legs feel silky smooth. Anyone else feel the same way?

This month has consisted of Pride celebrations all over the world, which means that stores have also been filled with rainbow everything. I scored this rainbow open knit blouse at Forever21. Being that it is Forever21, the shirt ripped and began to unravel as soon as I wore it (this is why I need to stay away from fast fashion and start investing in quality pieces). You will see a weird hole at the neckline in some of the pictures, but we're going to pretend it's not even there. Right?

I'm still struggling with trying to balance real life with blogging. I hate posting for the sake of posting, but I also don't like going such a long time without publishing anything. I have a lot of pictures that I still haven't posted here, or on Instagram and I don't want the same to happen with this set. They're inspired by Pride month and it wouldn't make sense to post them in November, so here they are!

Have you ever been to any Pride parades or festivals? I was in Amsterdam during Pride week back in 2012, but I have never been to a Pride festival in the U.S. I really hope that changes this year. I hope you are all doing well. Thank you so much for stopping by!

Much Love,
PerlaGiselle

  1. I'm a straight woman and I know people that are in the LGBTQ Community. I've never been to a Pride Parade, but I'm glad Pride Parades provide a place of acceptance and celebrate. I just feel everyone should be able to be who they want to be and love who they want to love. Btw, cute outfit Perla!

  2. What a fun top but what a shame it unravelled! I hope you can take it back for a refund!

It can be so hard juggling blogging adn life sometimes! I've gone from having 3 weeks of posts scheduled to having nothing scheduled for next week, I'm usually finishing a post just before it goes live which isn't good, I need to work on getting that backlog so that when life happens it's okay as I have a backup of a few posts ready to go!

Hope that you have a lovely weekend ahead of you :)

  4. Balancing is always a process and it takes time to get your groove. I know for me it took a couple years into blogging to figure out how to go from my day job to blogging. You'll get there girl!

  5. Haha, I feel the same way about the fact that I shave to have smooth legs. I love that forever 21 is just POPPING with the different clothing pieces in stores. Have you seen the hot cheetos ones????? They're pretty cool. With the baby, adjusting to the mommy and blogging life at the same time can be hard but you're killing it with the mommy life!!! Sending you LOTS of love!!

  9. Ooooo...I love this top on you! Too bad it seems like it won't hold up for years (that's F21 for you. I have F21 stuff too...yeah).
I also totally get the dilemma of finding that balance, esp. if you have younger kids. Girl, you do what you have to do and sometimes, blogging unfortunately will have to take a back seat but your loyal readers will always be around:)
PS Man...that Pride Parade in Amsterdam must've been awesome!!

  12. I absolutely love this rainbow look. Shame about the quality of the top but at least it looks cute.. Fast fashion is never a good investment in the long run. I do like the denim skirt and the sunnies as well.

I feel you about blogging. It can feel like a time vacuum.

  14. I can imagine the blog/life balance must be especially tough when you're a new mama but you just do what works for you. This outfit is perfect for Pride month. I attended the NYC Pride parade in the past with friends and always had a blast.

  15. Love this outfit! So cute, its such a pity that the shirt unravelled! Your comment about shaving your legs made me giggle too - we're in winter right now over here and I'm so happy nobody can see my legs anymore lol! Thanks for sharing, have a lovely day.
