What are your true feelings when it comes to Valentines Day?
Come on, let it out. I know you want to.
I personally LOVE Valentine's Day, but not for all of the romantic reasons (sorry babe). This made-up holiday holds a special place in my heart (see what I did there?) because it reminds me of my family and how much we love doing corny things for each other. Even if it is not a special occasion, we love exchanging small gifts and showing our love for one another. If you have read The 5 Love Languages, it should come as no surprise that one of my love languages is giving and receiving gifts. It's just the way I was raised (again, sorry babe). 🤷🏽
So now that I have made it very clear why I like Valentine's Day, I present you with three outfits using the same heart blouse that I purchased from H&M last year. The heart print blouse has more of a boxy cut and I used that to style a few casual outfits. These outfits are definitely for those that have no shame when it comes to celebrating Valentine's Day. I will post links below each look for those that are interested in purchasing similar items.
Outfit#1
I don't know why I do it, but I always wear fishnet tights under my ripped jeans.
Outfit #2
Again with the fishnet theme! At least this time it's not as much!
Outfit #3
Outfit #3 is an outfit I threw together last year. If it looks familiar, it's because I posted some pictures of it on my Instagram.
I like the first outfit the most because it is a true representation of what I wear on a daily basis. Jeans and ankle boots are my go-to. On another note, I am going to try harder this year to not purchase so many clothes. I want to challenge myself to style more outfits with items I already own. This desire came to me after I caught myself searching for a Valentine's Day blouse, when I already had one that I only used once the year before. If I do purchase clothes, I would like for them to come from second-hand stores, or sustainable brands. With that said, please feel free to let me know of any sustainable brands/stores that you love.

All your VDay looks are so cute! I'm a Valentine's fan, but only because my boyfriend do something just a bit offbeat: we always go eat at our fave sushi place and then follow it up with a super action-packed movie (John Wick, Deadpool, have been past VDay movies). This year it's Birds of Prey!

ReplyDeleteSí, creo que Valentines pone mucho enfásis en ciertas cosas pero la verdad es que hay mil razones por las cuales se puede celebrar. Aquí en Europa no es muy famosa la fecha, algunos la festejan pero no es tanta la presión como en USA o México, pero una cena y chocolates con la gente que quieres e incluso contigo mismo siempre se agradecen :)
Me encantan todas las opciones de outfits, pero el #2 tiene mucha magia con esa falda! :D

I hate that it is no longer about love and has how it has become a commercialized excuse for forced consumerism and unnecessary financial and emotional pressure. Love should be celebrated every day and we should always be showing those we love how much we care because life is short.
