.fall swing.

I'm ready to swing into fall fashion...
...with this navy swing dress!
(see what I did there?)

Alright, technically it's not fall yet and summer weather will still linger in southern California well into fall. For that reason I have to sacrifice a few of my favorite 2018 fall trends, like oversized outerwear, black leather and shearling. Luckily, I can slowly transition into fall with this navy blue swing dress from PinkBlush, which is the perfect length for warm, fall weather.
Excuse the puffy eyes. I had to take these really early in the morning when the weather was still nice and cool.

Just showing off what I can do with dress pockets.

This hat reminds me of smokey the bear.

Only you can prevent forest fires.

Look at how happy I was before going into my doctor's appointment.

I believe this dress is really easy to style and I obviously went the simple route due to lack of time. I wore these brown boots that I've had for over 10 years (originally gifted to me by a teacher in high school). I thought the cutout design made it look like I was wearing a choker, so I didn't feel like wearing anything fancy around my neck. I threw on a fedora with a brown band to match the boots. Had the weather been cooler, I would have layered a cardigan, tights and booties. It's amazing what you can do with casual, everyday dresses.

I squeezed in some really quick pictures before my 3-hour glucose test and had to fast before going into my appointment. I was not happy because I am used to eating as soon as I wake up. PinkBlush has some really cute and trendy maternity clothes that you can wear after pregnancy and this navy swing dress also had pockets! As I said before,I really love dresses with pockets for preggo-lady-snack-keeping, but in this case they were a reminder that I was not allowed to have any food for three, long and excruciating hours.

I have to wait for the results, but at least I survived the 3-hour glucose test even though the nurse popped one of my veins and blood squirted out of my arm like a horror movie. If I was able to get through that, I can survive a few more weeks, or months of summer weather. In the meantime I will have to live vicariously through your pictures showcasing REAL fall looks. Are there any fall trends that you are really looking forward to?

Much love,
PerlaGiselle
