.it be like that.

I used to beat myself up for not posting consistently on my blog,
...it be like that sometimes.

As much as I love writing, posting pictures and interacting with my fellow bloggers, I can't do it as much as I would like--and that's okay! Consistency is key when it comes to social media, especially if you want to grow your following, improve your stats and get more sponsored opportunities. I really don't mind sacrificing these things anymore because it means I am probably doing it to spend more time with my daughter. So if you feel bad about being inconsistent too, don't! You are probably dealing with real-life situations as well.

The thing that I have always loved about blogging is that it feels like you can start right where you left off, even after taking a really long break. I've taken a break that lasted several years and when I came back, I was so delighted to see how many of my fellow bloggers were off to bigger and better things. My point is that you should take a break if you need to because I know I'm not going anywhere and I'm sure those of us who really enjoy this platform will always be here as well.

Speaking of being inconsistent, I asked on an Instagram post if I should create a blog post about my vacation in Mexico and I received a lot of positive answers. With that said, here are pictures from my recent trip to Fairbanks, Alaska (haha, I know I suck). I feel that Mexico happened so long-ago that I should just let it go. I will be going back to Mexico in December and I am hoping to create better content for you guys, so it's coming!

I went back to Santa's House in North Pole, Alaska, but this time with Luna and my husband

I swear, that's a nervous happy smile
They always display different letters to to Santa and here are some of the ones that really stood out to me. I always laugh and cry when I read them.

This kid outdid everyone with his bar graphs.

Did it for the 'gram, but never posted on the 'gram

We went to the northernmost brewery in America

The beer did not disappoint!

Always doing it for the 'gram!

Can't stop, won't stop!

I went to Alaska a year ago as well and posted way more about Anchorage here and about North Pole here. The weather we experienced this time was waaaaaay warmer, which was a surprise! Anywho, it was nice being able to visit some of these places again, but with the company of my little family.

Thank you for stopping by!
Much love,

  5. Oh my gosh! I can't believe how big Luna is now!!!! You guys are too adorable:) And I've always wanted to go to Alaska. Thanks for posting the pics:)
PS I so agree about taking a break from blogging if you need to. When my eldest had his last surgery a few years back, I took a long time off blogging. You gotta do what you gotta do! :D

  16. Sometimes, life gets busy and it is fine to not post/take a little break. Plus, you have a baby so motherhood is definitely more important. It is great that you have been taking your baby around! I love all of these pictures xx

  17. Oh that looks like fun, it's nice you can visit Santa year-round! Adorable photo of your daughter there with Santa! :)

Definitely don't feel bad about not blogging regularly - it's hard with a kid! If I didn't have posts schedule in advance I'd never have a post out on time, haha!

Hope that you are having a great weekend :)

  18. Hi Perlita! First of all thanks for your lovely comment on my latest blog post... Me da mucho gusto volver a ver por aquí a personas como tú :)

And yes! I totally get your point and lately I feel like that... Constancy is the key factor but sometimes it is impossible to combine my digital life with the daily tasks. Keep creating content, no matter if you post daily or from time to time, you have a kid and many other things to do... I mean we all have priorities ;)

    Have a wonderful week ahead!

I agree with taking a break.. I usually end up taking a long one during the summer so I can focus on enjoying the lazy warm days with the boys and not have to worry about posting.
