My birthday just passed.

I feel old. 

I know many like to reply with, "oh, but you are still young!," but I'm talking about my feelings here! I feel old. Only three years away from 30. I always said jokingly that I would have kids when I turn 30 and that may actually come true. Last year I went all out and had a huge 1920's birthday party across the border in TJ. Yup, Mexico. There has been zero birthday plans for myself this year, but many upcoming trips with my husband that I am really looking forward to. I honestly believe that the lack of excitement for this past birthday was due to being excited about the plans that we have made together for the future. It could be a sign that I am aging, but it can also be a sign that I am extremely blessed. 

Yes, I am blessed.

So blessed, I am posting this picture even though I don't like how I look!

In my last post I said that I wanted to get boots out of my system, but I think I needed to wear them one last time. With that said, I present you with my "transitional" outfit. I think it's safe to refer to it as transitional because I am layering fishnets underneath these jeans and I cannot imagine wearing that plus the boots in even slightly warmer weather. Spring in southern California is equivalent to what I imagine summer is for most normal people and our summer is equal to extreme desert weather. This is not an exaggeration, or maybe I am getting old!
